Sex toys are awesome. Dildos, “massagers”, handcuffs, nipple clamps and a diverse array of other gadgets and implements can spice things up and add new facets to your sexual escapades in the bedroom (or kitchen – who am I to judge?). My wife and I recently had an opportunity to extend that play outside of our home, though, thanks to the Club Vibe 3.Oh from OhMiBod.
OhMiBod sent us a review unit to play with. The Club Vibe 3.Oh is a small, discreet vibrator that is designed to be worn in a pair of panties. It comes with a pair of black lace panties that have the pocket for the device built-in. That part is for her. It also comes with a part for me–the wireless remote control.
The vibrator has three modes. A pulse mode that basically works whenever and for as long as you press the button. A pattern mode that vibrates in preset patterns. And, finally, a music mode–which is where the Club Vibe name really comes from. It listens to and responds to the ambient noise–which can be particularly fun and exciting if you’re at a club and get to experience the device vibrating to the beat of the music.
The vibrator itself is fairly small and lightweight. It is also relatively quiet when vibrating–at least compared with many other sex toys we own. A bonus is that if you’re out at a restaurant, bar, or club, there is generally more than enough noise to cover the gentle buzzing of the Club Vibe 3.Oh. It won’t, however, be able to mask the look of surprised pleasure on her face when you activate it.
The panties that come with it are the size that they are. They may not work for everyone. Thankfully, my wife is handy with a sewing machine, so she was able to just craft a similar pouch on a pair of panties she already owned. She also designed a detachable pouch so we can use the Club Vibe 3.Oh no matter what panties she happens to be wearing.
Our first experience with the toy was a bit underwhelming, but it wasn’t the fault of the Club Vibe 3.Oh. I was just so excited to test it out that I didn’t fully charge the device and remote before we went out. One or two activations into the evening and the remote ran out of juice. Just when things were getting “interesting”.
Both the vibrator and the remote control are rechargeable. It won’t come in very handy when you’re out in public, but the remote control will also work while it is plugged in and charging.
The Club Vibe 3.Oh is $120. It’s not cheap, but it’s also not exorbitant compared with other leading sex toys like the We-Vibe. It’s a lot of fun, so it’s well worth the investment in my opinion. The Club Vibe 3.Oh shot quickly to the top of my list of favorite toys…and favorite things to do on a date night.
