A 24/7 relationship is a dynamic that involves pervasive and perpetual emotional and mental connection between bottom and Top. It is a mindset, not a set list of activities.
24/7 is often considered to be synonymous with micromanagement, but the two are not the same at all. Not all 24/7 relationships involve micromanagement, and not all micromanagement is part of a 24/7 relationship.
Instead, in a 24/7 relationship, the bottom considers the Top’s needs and wants first at all times and in all matters. And The Top has the right to control anything pertaining to the bottom at any time. So although a Top might not choose, for example, to determine what a bottom wears one day, he/she may choose to do so the next day. The dynamic was not any less 24/7 the day that the Top chose not to exercise that right.
